Clashes in Hebron village, Israeli watchtower burns
Locals of Beit Awwa, a West Bank village in the Hebron district, reported that Palestinians set fire to an Israeli watchtower Oct. 14 during clashes with the army. The clashes broke out when the Israeli army entered the village. Palestinians threw stones and Israeli forces fired tear-gas grenades, locals said, adding that dozens of villagers suffered from tear gas inhalation. Additionally, Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails at an Israeli watchtower located near the village, burning the watchtower and reportedly injuring Israeli soldiers.
The extent of the damage done to the watchtower and the number of injuries are not immediately clear. A spokesman for the Israeli army did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Israeli forces open fire on West Bank protests
Israel forces injured dozens of Palestinians and international activists after opening fire on demonstrations in four cities across the West Bank on Nov. 8. Israeli forces dispersed protests in Nabi Saleh, al-Masara, Bilin, and Kafr Qaddum protesting the killing of two Palestinians by Israeli forces on the day before and marking the 9th anniversary of the death of former President Yasser Arafat.
Palestinian officials demanded a global probe into the "killing" of Yasser Arafat on Thursday, a day after it emerged that Swiss forensic tests showed he probably died from polonium poisoning. (Ma'an News Agency)
