Anti-pollution protests shake Chinese regime

In March, to great fanfare, China's Premier Li Keqiang promised to launch a "war on pollution." But after last month's chaotic and bloody scenes in Yuhang, Zhejiang province, it seems more like the government has launched a "war on pollution protesters." A massive crowd campaigning to stop a planned waste incinerator mega-project clashed with hundreds of riot police on May 10—the latest in a growing wave of anti-pollution protests across China's industrial heartland.
