Amid the police crackdown [10] on Gaza protests coast [11]-to-coast [12]—drawing concern [13] from the UN human rights office—hostage advocacy [14] organizations, rights groups and co-existence activists [15] have been protesting in Israel, and similarly meeting with repression [16]. They are, at a minimum, demanding a deal [17] with Hamas for release of the hostages and putting off the promised invasion [18] of Rafah. While far-right Israelis have been blocking the roads [19] to the Gaza crossings to prevent aid trucks from entering, the group Rabbis for Ceasefire [20] held a march to the border of the Strip [21] to deliver food in defiance of the siege, and were met with arrests [22]. Such voices begin to de-escalate the dangerous polarization [23] which has also infected the scene [24] on American campuses. Bill Weinberg discusses in Episode 224 [25] of the CounterVortex podcast [26].
