Iraq's civil resistance: the debate continues

WORLD WAR 4 REPORT editor Bill Weinberg led another modestly-attended presentation this evening about the Iraq Freedom Congress, this time at a meeting of the New York chapter of the Socialist Party USA. if your country was invaded, what would you do, and would you want people from the invading country to lecture you on what you should do, whom you should support, and judge you?

"if your country was invaded, what would you do, and would you want people from the invading country to lecture you on what you should do, whom you should support, and judge you?"

Of course not. Obviously, the assasination of trade union leaders, stoning 11 year old girls and the sectarian "cleansing" of multi-ethnic neighborhoods are all part of an authentic heroic resistance movement. Only a silly socialist would support Iraqis fighting for class solidarity, autonmous women's groups and people's right to live where they choose. We should all shell out the $9 for your movie (instead of the free Socialist movie - how quaint a free movie) and cheerlead the arrival of the Islamic Republic of Iraq. At least you will turn a buck on it...
